1: LEGO Star Wars Cloud City Kit

One of the most memorable places in Star Wars was Cloud City.  In The Empire Strikes Back, this was a crucial turning point in the story where everything starts to look extremely grim!

Fortunately for LEGO fans, this scene can now be recreated with the LEGO Cloud City kit. This is a pretty large kit that is detailed enough to make any Star Wars enthusiast happy.

One of the best features about this kit is that it includes 7 mini-figures so that you can accurately re-create the entire scene. The figures included are Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Boba Fett, a Stormtrooper, and Lando Calrissian. Note that Lando is not available in any other Star Wars kit, so if you want him then you need this one!

The entire kit includes 698 pieces. This makes the kit somewhat large and time consuming, but it is not nearly as intensive as some of the larger Star Wars models.

As with many LEGO products, the recommended age for this one is 9 years or older. Because some of the pieces are fairly small, try to keep this kit away from your little ones.

Even though this kit allows you to recreate several different scenes, one of the most notable features is where Han Solo goes into carbon freeze. You can actually replace Han with the frozen Han “brick” which is a level of detail that was unnecessary but fun.

The durability of this city is very sturdy. You shouldn’t plan on moving it around very much, but when you do you shouldn’t be too concerned about it breaking extremely easily. If you do decide to move it for one reason or another, it’s suggested that you detach the landing platform and make two trips to carry it.

What do customers think about the LEGO Cloud City set? a perfect 5/5 star rating, and the other reviewer gave it a 4/5 star rating.Right now there are 6 reviews on Amazon.com. 5 of them give the set

What’s interesting is that the 4/5 star rating actually came from a child who was asking for the set for free on his family’s behalf. They said that their family didn’t have any money to buy the set, and they knew it would make their family happy! Thus, this cannot really be considered a real review.

Meanwhile the other reviews seem to love the product. Some customers complained about the price a little, but said that it’s still a great set and they love it. Overall it seems to take about 2 hours to build, but there aren’t many repeat steps or tedious tasks involved.

So do we recommend the LEGO Cloud City kit? Even though this may not be as memorable to some as the Death Star or Millennium Falcon, it is still an important piece of the story that most Star Wars fans will enjoy. So if you are a huge Star Wars fans, this is a great set. If you aren’t a huge fan but still want something, you may want to consider a different Star Wars set.
